International Student Exchange Program- Mallika Shrivardhani B.Tech PSE Final Year
"One of the greatest opportunities a student can be offered is
the chance to study overseas before graduating university. Studying abroad will
give me the chance to continue my education while soaking in the culture,
customs, and education practices of a society that is different from the one I
grew up in, India.
From an academic as well as from a cultural perspective, I would
be very much looking forward to spending a semester in the heart of France. After
knowing about ENSEM and its vast Electrical, Electronic and Mechanical Scope, I
confirmed my choice. Studying in France will allow me to live, experience and
study in deep new cultures and markets.
My Undergraduate education at University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun has exposed me to a wide range of excellent courses in Power System Engineering and has helped me to consolidate my understanding of Power systems and Power Electronics. In addition to these I had the opportunity to work on several laboratories experiments that have helped me learn the practical and theoretical aspects of Power Systems.
I have decided to pursue Research as a career option. It gives
me great satisfaction in applying the knowledge which I have earned till now,
to develop further understanding and solving practical problems. For me no
other profession promises the creative satisfaction and intellectual
independence that research does.
30 years from now, I want to look back at the accomplishments of
my life and feel a sense of contentment. Gratification because my work made a
significant impact in my field. And if I achieve this goal I will consider my
career a success.
Six or Seven years from now, I see myself as a part of leading
Research group and contribute my bit to the Power system Engg.
Last but not
least, this program will help me realize and achieve my goals. I'm at the best
age of my life, and there are so many unknown roads to take. A significant
question I'm going to figure out is what I'm supposed to do in future.
Everything seems charming, but everything seems challenging."- Mallika Shrivardhani, B.Tech PSE Final Year
