International Student Exchange Program

International Student Exchange Program- Mallika Shrivardhani B.Tech PSE Final Year

"One of the greatest opportunities a student can be offered is the chance to study overseas before graduating university. Studying abroad will give me the chance to continue my education while soaking in the culture, customs, and education practices of a society that is different from the one I grew up in, India.
From an academic as well as from a cultural perspective, I would be very much looking forward to spending a semester in the heart of France. After knowing about ENSEM and its vast Electrical, Electronic and Mechanical Scope, I confirmed my choice. Studying in France will allow me to live, experience and study in deep new cultures and markets.

My Undergraduate education at University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun has exposed me to a wide range of excellent courses in Power System Engineering and has helped me to consolidate my understanding of Power systems and Power Electronics. In addition to these I had the opportunity to work on several laboratories experiments that have helped me learn the practical and theoretical aspects of Power Systems.
I have decided to pursue Research as a career option. It gives me great satisfaction in applying the knowledge which I have earned till now, to develop further understanding and solving practical problems. For me no other profession promises the creative satisfaction and intellectual independence that research does.
30 years from now, I want to look back at the accomplishments of my life and feel a sense of contentment. Gratification because my work made a significant impact in my field. And if I achieve this goal I will consider my career a success.
Six or Seven years from now, I see myself as a part of leading Research group and contribute my bit to the Power system Engg.

Last but not least, this program will help me realize and achieve my goals. I'm at the best age of my life, and there are so many unknown roads to take. A significant question I'm going to figure out is what I'm supposed to do in future. Everything seems charming, but everything seems challenging."- Mallika Shrivardhani,  B.Tech PSE Final Year

Student Exchange [UPES(India) - ENSEM(France)]

Student Exchange [UPES(India) - ENSEM(France)]- Vipul Jain , B.Tech Electrical Engineering

"Having the opportunity to study abroad can be considered as a once in lifetime opportunity. The possibility of living away from home may prove to be very challenging, but it offers exciting and new opportunity that only a few students can access to. Besides, expecting a positive impact on my development, this also has an impact on a rather personal perspective.

Professionally speaking, this particular experience will provide me with an advantage in the field of work, as well as the possibility of being able to enjoy several opportunities from different places all over the world. This environment is also a perfect platform for me to enhance my skills.

Why France? France is one of the most beautiful and refined countries in Europe. Perfect climate, amazing foods and culture to dive into have attracted me towards this beautiful country. Besides, the technical and social advancements of the country,it will help me in advancing as a better human being with a treasure of wide knowledge and help me for self-growth.

I am also looking forward to experience the French life in L’École Nationale Spérieure Délectricité et de Mécanique de Nancy (ENSEM). I am eager to get myself involved in various programs and groups so that I can enjoy my time in the French University. I am seeing the full potential of having a great time with other students. As a result, I am interested in completely engaging with the locals so as to be able to experience life as a student at its best. I believe that whatever I will be learning here I can use back home."

UPES student feedback

UPES Student Feedback

Joining UPES was one the best decision I ever made. I didn’t realize that until now when I look back and see that how it has really changed the way I live my life. It is a place full of opportunities surrounded by the best of beauties in the world. I was pursuing M.Tech. in Renewable Energy Engineering and meanwhile under Teaching assistant-ship I got the opportunity to teach B.Tech. second year students for a semester. I presented research paper in an international conference and went for an exchange programme to France for Master (II) degree in Electrical Engineering. UPES is more like a home than just a place to teach and learn. I am really grateful to every little thing I learned at UPES
The exchange programme to France at Polytech Nantes was the most daring and exciting step I ever chose. Studying in one the most developed countries in the world and nailing it was the challenge finished very well. I never knew that I have this strong capability of learning things until I went there. I made friends and family like relations in France. People are very helping and caring and all the hard work during studies can easily be compensated by one good trip to see France and its magnificent beauty. I am grateful to UPES that I got this opportunity and equally grateful to Polytech Nantes for giving me such an amazing life time experience.
